- Since university, Lia has shown a special interest in veterinary ophthalmology, her bachelor’s thesis addressing this field of veterinary medicine.
- After graduating from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, class of 2011, Lia began her work at the Alegria Vet clinic, followed by a year-and-a-half internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manchester, UK, focusing on ophthalmology and neurology.
- After returning to the country, she enrolled in doctoral studies at FMVB, in 2018 completing the thesis entitled “Contributions to the Study of Etiopathogenesis, Diagnosis and Therapy of Corneal Diseases in Dogs and Cats” under the guidance of Ms. Conf. Univ. Dr. Iuliana Ionaศcu./span>
- During her doctoral studies, Lia took part in numerous congresses, conferences and workshops, both as a participant and as a lecturer or organizer, most of them addressing topics in veterinary ophthalmology. Among them is the participation with the presentation “The Use Of 72 โ Hour Dissolvable Collagen Eye Shield (Vetshield โข) In Deep Corneal Ulcers In Dogs” at the annual Conference of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology held in Budapest in 2016.
- Over time, she has done internships at ophthalmology clinics such as Oftalmovet in Valencia, Spain and at the Royal Veterinary College in London, UK.
- Between April 2017 and January 2019, Lia worked as a veterinarian at the Di-Vet emergency clinic, addressing cases of general medicine, emergency medicine, but dealing mainly with ophthalmology and anesthesia.
- In November 2019 she completed a 14-day Externship in Italy, at the Polo University of Lodi Milan and at the Veterinary Institute of Novara under the guidance of Dr. Laura Barachetti, DVM, PhD, Dipl ECVO European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologist Helsinki 2015.
